Pastor Daryl Hall

I surrendered my life to the Lord at the age of six, led to Christ by my parents. I have been blessed by amazing servants of God who guided me and discipled me into a more mature walk with Christ. God has given me the opportunity to serve him for more than thirty years. The road God has taken me on has been unique in ways only He can orchestrate. I have never been in the inner circles of Baptist life nor have I ever been one for the spotlight. But I have been blessed beyond measure with the assignments that God has given me, often being called to ministry that others refuse to do. I have loved all the people God has called me to pastor or serve and I am rich with relationships rooted in Christ. My path of ministry has certainly provided a variety of experience but with a single focus….to make disciples. I am far from perfect but I seek to honor God and give Him reason to rejoice over me.

I am a graduate of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity in Urban Missions and a Masters of Arts in Pastoral Ministry. I serve as Chair of the Bexar County Volunteer Services Advisory Council Executive Committee, Vice President of Partners for Youth in San Antonio, I also serve on the Board of Directors of Jesus Centered Ministries and the Board of Governors for Brick by Brick Ministries International.

In 2016, God blessed me with an amazing wife , Laura Elvia (Hernandez) Hall. Laura and I both had been living purposeful single lives serving Christ, then one day we discovered the sweetness of serving God together. Perhaps it is because we waited so long for each other, but Laura and I interact with such ease and we love being together. We laugh together so often, enjoy adventures together, talk about everything together and cherish every memory we are making together. I love this woman and whatever may come, I am thankful to the Lord that I have Laura to be my companion on this journey. But the crown jewel of our relationship is our shared devotion to Jesus Christ. Laura’s support for my calling as a pastor has become evident to those around us and essential for me. I also strive to support her. Laura has become an effective leader in women's ministry, worship and mentoring teens. God has blessed her with many wonderful gifts and I love that she chooses to use those gifts to glorify God. We encourage each other, pray together, study God’s Word together, and talk for hours about the amazing God we worship.

Laura is a registered architect in the State of Texas and is an associate at Ford Powell & Carson where she has been employed for 16 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from UTSA and a Master of Architecture from Columbia University in New York City. She serves on the Board of Directors of The ACE Mentor Program in San Antonio and is a published photographer. She is also my best friend.
